Internship Overview
The MFMIP is a structured professional training and work experience programme with the thing of furnishing high quality training and practical exposure in all aspects of a Municipal Budget and Treasury Office, which is governed by the External Finance Management Act, No 56 of 2003 and the underpinning reforms. The programme has a logical training sequence that builds on the chops and capabilities acquired during University training and ends with a qualification in Municipal Finance Management in agreement with the External Regulations on minimal faculty situations, review 29967 of 15 June 2007 crucial externship enterprise:
- Meet specific literacy issues as set out in the National Treasury Finance Intern Chops Development Programme
- The successful aspirants will primarily be trained in the crucial areas of the Finance, Internal Audit and Risk departments to insure that acceptable chops are developed
- Exposure to the perpetration of the MFMA, GRAP norms, programs and Procedures aspirants must have registered in the Knysna external area.
Must be in possession of:
- A completed three- time Maids Degree or National Diploma( NQF Level 7), with majors in Accounting, Business or Finance . Internal Audit and/or Risk Management will be an added advantage.
- Reasonable written and verbal communication chops, and computer knowledge are farther conditions.
The successful aspirant will be anticipated to subscribe an externship agreement, which is in addition to the employment contract. This will insure commitment to the MFMI Programme which requires, amongst others, full participation in the training and plant programs.
Interns will be subject to the External correctional law. A periodic increase determined by the Bargaining Council applies. The movables will be made in consideration of Employment Equity and Gender Equality. Preference will be swung to womanish aspirants.

No late operations will be considered. The Municipality reserves the right to do reference, credit, qualification and security checks. Campaigners must be prepared to suffer evaluation tests. Canvassing of Councillors and staff members isn’t permitted, and any evidence thereof will affect in disqualification.
Only shortlisted campaigners will be communicated . Campaigners not communicated within 2 months of the ending date must accept that their operation was unprofitable.
