Summary
Bidvest Tank Outstations (BTT) is inviting operations for a Chemical Operations NQF Level 3 Learnership. This learnership occasion will be grounded in Durban.
The successful seeker must meet the following minimal conditions
Minimal Conditions
- Matric (Maths and Physical Science preferred)
- A valid South African Identity Document( SA Citizen)
- Completed Chemical Operations NQF Level 1 and 2
- Capability to work within a Chemical Plant terrain
- amenability to learn and a positive station
Duties and Liabilities
- To train Learners in various practical chops to enable easy integration into the plant
- To give Learners with on- the- job work experience
Capabilities (Knowledge, Chops And Capacities)
- Capability to work in a logical and systematized manner
- Capability to exercise good plant ethics
- Good communication chops( written and verbal)
- High situations of integrity and confidentiality
- Capability to work well in a platoon, and/ or singly as needed

Bidvest Tank Terminals (BTT) is a leading South African operator of bulk liquid and gas storage, established in 1953 and located at the Ports of Durban and Richards Bay, and in Isando. They handle a wide range of products including chemicals, gases, and petroleum products, with a total storage capacity of over 868,000 cubic meters. BTT provides various logistics services, including receiving and dispatching products via ship, road, and rail, and prioritizes safety, sustainability, customer service, and teamwork.
We handle over three billion litres of our customers’ product every year. This includes: chemicals, gases, fats and oils, base oils, lube oil additives and petroleum products. With over seventy customers, we handle more than 150 types of product – stored in over 560-tanks at our Port of Durban, Port of Richard’s Bay, and Isando sites. This gives us an impressive storage capacity of approximately 868,000 cubic metres.
