An occasion has presented itself to appoint a suitably good seeker into the position of Student Phlebotomy Technician. This is a position grounded at: Gauteng, Pretoria, Limpopo, Northwest, Mpumalanga and Free State.
To develop learner capability (i.e. broad knowledge, chops and values) in performing phlebotomy ways within a medical pathology terrain.
Requirements:
- National Senior Certificate (NSC). English (HL or FAL) – level 4(50%–59%), Life Sciences – level 4(50%–59%) And Mathematics – level 3(40-49%) OR Mathematical Literacy – level 4(50–59%)
- 1 Yrs Applicable Working Experience

Preface
A Phlebotomy Technician is trained to draw blood and collect samples from case or benefactors.
Phlebotomy learners attend structured literacy programmes including proposition and practical training.
After successful completion of the 24 month training programme and the HPCSA board examination, the learner will be suitable to register with the HPCSA as a good Phlebotomy Technician enabling them to be employed in Medical pathology laboratories and blood donation organisations.
- Attends formal training programme including lectures, practical training and submission of assignments.
- Writing of Health Professions Council (HPCSA) board examination.
- Meet contractual scores of Learnership appointment.
- Collection of venous and capillary blood and non-blood samples for medical and blood donation purposes.
- Tools sound housekeeping procedures in agreement with applicable legislation and all safety protocols.
- Represents the organisation by applying the principles of client care.
Learners are to make their own arrangements with respects to accommodation, transport and food.
Learners will be needed to work a 42.5 hour week.
Shortlisted campaigners will be needed to suffer a pre-assessment.
