About the Absa Fellowship Programme

The Absa Fellowship Programme is further than just an academic education. It’s a transformative action aimed at fostering entrepreneurship and leadership, and empowering youthful gift to come change makers in their communities and diligence. Aligned with Absa’s commitment to fiscal addition and sustainability, this programme equips unborn leaders with the chops, knowledge and mind-set to laboriously drive growth and invention in Africa.

Every time, we choose the 50 aspirants who demonstrate eventuality, passion and purpose. named fellows will crop as leaders in the private or public sectors or as entrepreneurs, prepared to make a positive impact in their communities, advance sustainability and turn possibilities into reality.

Do you know the fellow we’re looking for?

We’re seeking youthful, arising leaders who meet the following criteria

  • Age Between 18 and 25 times old.
  • Academic record A pass mark of 65 or advanced is needed.( aspirants may submit either their June 2025 primary resultsor final matric results.)

Field of study aspirants should be enrolling as a first- time undergraduate pupil at a public university in South Africa in 2026 and pursuing a degree in:

  • Commerce
  • Humanities and social sciences
  • Science (including health science, but excluding medical or veterinary studies), technology, engineering and mathematics
  • Creative arts
  • Digital/Data design.

Important: The operation must be submitted in the name of the prospective pupil who’ll be attending the tertiary institution, not in the name of a parent or guardian.

The operation process

Phase 1: Pre-screening

  • Prospective scholars are pre-screened to determine if they meet the minimal conditions before progressing to phase 2.

Phase 2: Psychometric assessment

  • Only aspirants who pass the pre-screening will admit a testimonial law via e-mail from Absafellowship@fundi.co.za to pierce the psychometric assessment.

 Phase 3: Shortlisting

  • Aspirants are shortlisted grounded on the score attained in the psychometric assessment.

Phase 4: Interviews

  • Shortlisted aspirants are invited for an interview.

Important note

  • Aspirants are prompted to check their dispatch constantly for updates. They should also check their spam or junk brochure to avoid missing important information.

Important operation guidelines

  • Operations near on 10 September 2025. No late operations will be accepted, and operations entered after the deadline won’t be considered.
  • The operation must be submitted using the prospective pupil’s own details, including their name, dispatch address, cellphone number and other needed particular information. Operations submitted in the name of the parent or guardian, or using their contact details, won’t be accepted or considered.
  • No correspondence will be entered into with parents or guardians. Data sequestration regulations stipulate that we don’t have blessing to engage with third parties – indeed parent or guardians – regarding the operation. The only third- party engagement permitted is with the service providers who grease the operation process.
  • Operations are open to all prospective scholars, not just children or cousins of Absa’s staff. No preference will be given; all aspirants will be treated inversely.
