The Municipal Finance Management Internship Programme( MFMIP) is a structured professional training and work experience programme. Its purpose is to give high- quality training and practical exposure in all aspects of a Municipal Budget and Treasury Office, governed by the External Finance Management Act (MFMA), Act 56 of 2003.
Internship Conditions:
- Grade 12.
A three- time National Diploma or B.Com Degree in:
- Financial Management
- Accounting
- Economics
- Finance (including Risk Management and/ or Auditing).
- No work experience needed.
- Must be between the periods of 21 and 35.
- Mustn’t have preliminarily shared in an externship programme.
The programme follows a logical training sequence that builds on academic knowledge and may lead to a qualification in Municipal Finance Management in line with the External Minimum Competency Regulations( Gazette 29967 of June 2007).
Crucial Performance Areas
- Perpetration of GRAP and Budget Reforms.
- Financial and performance reporting.
- Change, threat, and design operation.
- Expenditure and profit operation.
- Force chain and procurement operation.
- Perpetration of the MFMA.
- Asset operation.
How to Apply:
Operations must be submitted on the sanctioned Waterberg District Municipality operation form or from the event office.
Operations must include:
- Detailed streamlined CV.
- Certified copies (not aged than 3 months) of qualifications, ID, and motorist’s licence.
- Signed covering letter indicating the position applied for.
