The City of Johannesburg (CoJ), Social Development Department has the following internship occasion available for a period NOT exceeding eighteen 18 months.
Branch: Food Resilience Unit
Designation: Internship Food Value Chain
Minimum Conditions:
- Grade 12
- NQF Level 4 plus a Degree/ Diploma in Agriculture studies, Development studies or original
- Only City of Joburg residers will be considered.
Primary Function:
Food value chain cover numerous areas of husbandry value adding, food processing, quality and food safety. Help growers to transfigure from primary agrarian practice into reused material from primary husbandry to final value- added product. The functionary/ s will help in development of training, SABS( south African Bureau of standard) standard and HACCP( Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) instrument compliance.

- Utensil conditioning that increase smallholder agrarian product and marker relation
- Identify and establish food/ agrarian value chain openings within the City
- Execute food value plans perpetration plans that help growers with request
- Coordinate and unite with original mates
- Plan and support agrarian request days in the regions
- growers/agro-processers.

Designation: Internship Youth Coordination
Minimum Conditions
- Grade 12
- NQF Level 4 plus BA degree Development Studies/ Social sciences (NQF position 7).
- Only City of Johannesburg residers will be considered.
Primary Function:
Utensil and grease Youth Development Programmes and administration of Youth commission in order to insure effective and qualitative service delivery.
Key Learning Areas:
- Coordinate perpetration of youth development programmes enterprise
- Administer Youth Development Programmes
- Give executive support in relation to the Unit and programme perpetration
- Liaise and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to insure integration in services for Youth as per the COJ programs and procedures.

- Work after hours and weekends when the need arises
- Capability to effectively work with the public and leaders in the community.

- Computer knowledge( Microsoft Word and Excel)
- Community Development practices
- Good Communication( verbal and spoken)
