The NMISA: Internal Audit Technician| Learnership program

Overview of the Organisation

The NMISA is a Type 3A Public Entity established in agreement with the Measurement Unit and dimension norms Act, No. 18 of 2006( the Act). The NMISA is commanded by the Act to give for the use of the transnational system of units ( the SI) and other dimension units in South Africa, to maintain public dimension norms( NMS) and to determine and insure the community of the NMS.

  • Externship Internal inspection( 24 months)
  • Externship paycheck R 80 096.00 per annum

Purpose of Role

To admit training on Internal Audit function, conforming of a theoretical element and practical work, and give support to the department and perform tasks as needed by the association. The successful seeker will be enrolled on the Internal Audit Technician Learnership program, the programme runs for period of 24 months.

Minimal Qualifications, knowledge and Experience

  • Three- time tertiary qualification in the ensuing field Internal Auditing
  • Postgraduate qualification will be added advantage
  • Knowledge of the IIA Global Internal Audit norms
  • Introductory understanding of the PFMA, Treasury Regulations, and other applicable legislations.
  • Competent in MS Office Software package
  • Good communication chops and report jotting chops

Duties and liabilities

  • Perform inspection executive functions in line with the inspection methodology.
  • Opening inspection lines, labelling inspection lines in agreement with the internal inspection methodology.
  • Perform prosecution/ fieldwork in agreement with the inspection program, document inspection working papers and reference working papers to the finding’s worksheet.
  • Help in performing compliance, functional, information technology and finance check-ups.
  • Clearing coaching/ review notes on working papers and inspection reports on time.
  • Help in collecting draft inspection reports with the supervision of the elderly internal adjudicator.
  • Perform follow- up check-ups as listed in the inspection plan under the supervision of and runner 2 of 2 TQM-5078-6 guidance of the elderly internal adjudicator.
  • Performing ad- hoc assignments under the supervision and guidance of the elderly internal adjudicator.
  • Help in executive function of the Internal Audit Unit.

The position also requires being honest and ethical, being affable with others and displaying a good- natured, collaborative station.
