Description
PURPOSE
Exciting opportunities exist to assist in ensuring efficient operations of the Plant against set objectives, thus maintenance of the Plant . Assist in attending breakdowns as and when required.
Requirements
RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintenance
- Create job cards
- Execute Engineering work as planned
- Inspect equipment in a working area
- Perform general and process maintenance / repairs – electrical/ mechanical
- Execute planned maintenance tasks
- Fault finding on centrifugal pumps, electrical motors, diesel engines, hydraulic systems
- Perform quality assurance inspections on service providers
Health and Safety
- Maintain company and client safety policy and procedure requirements
- Promote safety performance
- Conduct risk assessments
- Conduct planned task observations
- Investigate and report all incidents
- Ensure Mine Health and Safety compliance
Operations
- Maintain good housekeeping standards
- Do proper shift handover
- Assist to operate the Plant when required
- Rectify process deficiencies
- Monitor Plant performance to obtain optimum production
- Advise operations on sub-standard practices
- Manage spares
Administration
- Complete all reports regarding safety, production, quality control and maintenance
QUALIFICATIONS
- N3 Mechanical / Electrical subjects
- Trade test – Millwright MQA / Merseta preferred
EXPERIENCE
- Five years experience as a Millwright
- Previous mining / production / construction environment exposure (preferable)
- Good working knowledge of star/delta starters and VSD systems
- PLC basic programming experience and field application
- Experience on internal combustion engines (diesel)
