The South African Forestry Company SOC Limited (SAFCOL) is inviting unemployed youth to apply for its Artisan Development Apprentice Programme, which provides workplace training at Timbadola Sawmill near Louis Trichardt (Makhado).

This programme is aimed at developing artisans over a three-year period, with a focus on sustainable economic empowerment.
Available Apprenticeship Trades:
- Fitter & Turner
- Millwright
- Electrical
- Diesel Mechanic (Motor Trade)
- Boiler Making
Recruitment Conditions:
Preference will be given to:
- Previously Disadvantaged Individuals (PDIs)
- People with disabilities
- Females
- Youths from communities adjacent to SAFCOL plantations and those with signed social compacts.
Eligibility & Requirements:
- Age: 18-35 years
- Citizenship: South African
- Education: Minimum N2 or Level 3 TVET certificate in the relevant trade theory (Grade 12 is recommended but not required).
- Status: Unemployed youth
