Information Technology (Software Developer) Learnership

ZTQ Solutions is a privately owned training provider formed by specialists in training and computer technology solutions. Our primary focus is on empowering people in the technology market by addressing entry-level skills and enhancing their talent.

We are excited to offer a 12-month Learnership program in Software Developer Strictly for Females, funded by MICT SETA.  

Demographic: 18 – 34 years old

Delivery: Full time (classroom delivery; online assessments; practical exercises; and work-based project)

Duties & Responsibilities

Required Application Documents:

1.    Matric certificate/transcript (it must show your Math and English marks). If you have any tertiary level qualifications, include them as described in the “To apply” section below, however they are NOT mandatory.

2.    A two-page (maximum) curriculum vitae.  List two people as character references (State their full name, contact number and relationship to you). Do not use family and friends as character references.

3.    RSA ID document OR proof of permanent residents’ status.

2.    Enter the code 26031

3.    Select the qualification option called: 48872 National Certificate IT Systems Development.

4.    Proceed to complete the online form and click next as you go.

5.    When asked, upload a copy of your zipped CV.

6.    When asked, upload a copy of your zipped Matric certificate (If you have any tertiary level qualifications include them in this zipped file as well.  They are not a  compulsory requirement).

7.    When asked, upload a copy of your zipped RSA ID/Permanent Resident’s status.

What happens after you apply?

1.    ZTQ Solutions (or our agents) will review your application and accept or reject it based on whether or not you meet the criteria. You will receive an email informing you of this decision, irrespective of if you have been accepted or not.

2.    If you are accepted, you will be automatically registered as a user of the t-LMS – our learning management program. You will receive an email with your initial log in credentials.  

3.    Soon thereafter, you will be enrolled on the battery of five ZTQ Solutions’ Recruitment & Selection assessments, which you need to take on line, using the t-LMS. Most of the assessments are short – ten, multiple-choice questions, but two assessment have a few more questions. One assessment requires you to view a video before answering the questions.  So, make sure you have at least 200mb of data for all the assessments or otherwise you must take the assessments from the training venue. We will give you 7 days to take the assessments – no extensions will be allowed.

4.    After you’ve taken the assessments, we will review the results and shortlist the successful candidates for an interview.

5.    The interview will be held at the training center in Mbombela.

6.    We will notify the successful candidates of their acceptance.

7.    You will be given a Learner contract to sign, scan and upload against your account on the t-LMS.

Desired Experience & Qualification

1.    Matric Certificate.                                                                                                                             

a. Matric Math (NOT Math Literacy).  No less than 50%.                                                                           

b. Matric English (First or First Additional Language). No less than 50%.

2.    Obtain an acceptable rating on the five ZTQ Solutions’ Recruitment & Selection assessments (Software Development Aptitude).

3.    Be a novice software developer i.e., no prior experience or training.

4.    Not be registered for ANY other full-time course.

5.    RSA citizen or citizen with permanent resident status.
